Looking to add the perfect pop of color to your wardrobe? Say hello to this season’s biggest trend – red! Red represents love, an emotion we could all use a lot more of these days, and is viewed as a symbol of courage, passion and optimism.
I’ve found knitwear to be the easiest category to incorporate red into my wardrobe. I mostly style my red sweaters with blue jeans, however, I also love a great red top paired with plaids, gray, or floral print bottoms.
Red Hot Knits & Blouses
At the top of my wish list is this chic cashmere short-sleeved sweater by Gucci with leather trimmed horsebit hardware – a forever classic.
Sizzle in this v-neck ribbed knit bodysuit by Jacquemus, or opt for a sultry turtleneck moment with this Couregès ribbed knit turtleneck sweater. It also works great when layered under a sleeveless A- line dress or underneath a vest.
If a loose fitting sweater is more your vibe, this cozy red cashmere option by The Elder Statesman is so good. I love that the shade of red is slightly more subdued; 20% off via Net-a-Porter doesn’t hurt either!
For the stripe girl, check out this darling red & white striped cardigan. Other must haves include this cozy red cotton turtleneck sweater by J. Crew and mock neckline knit by Demylee. The latter is currently on sale at Shopbop!
Red Hot Dresses To Impress
With the holidays around the corner, it’s never too early to shop for festive evening wear. This Stella McCartney red gown is the epitome of effortlessness and elegance. I’m all about the drama of this draped scarf-inspired neckline and ooh la la sleek thigh-high side slit. Another evening gown favorite (served with a side of sexy) is this Magda Butrym floral appliqué halter-neck style.
For a mini-moment, check out this ultra-feminine Staud crepe mini dress. I love the mock neck silhouette and the oversized bow is the perfect punctuation on an elegant scoop back.
Red Hot Accessories
These red suede t-strap pumps by Gabriela Hearst remain a favorite of mine. I own the leather version from SS23; the wood block is so comfortable.
This Etro mini bucket bag style is all the rage this season. Technically it’s burgundy, but it still counts! This cutie comes with an adjustable shoulder strap and a detachable top handle.
