Some days, creating a cool ensemble can be a breeze and boy does that feel good – but let’s be real, some days take more effort than time allows.
On this type of morning when I’m rushing out the door, I’ll usually opt for a pair of jeans and a grey or navy sweater. While this is totally A-Ok, I find adding a printed scarf is a fun, fashionable and let’s not forget functional way, especially when those temps drop – to add an extra pop of color to my winter look.
This season, there are so many printed scarf options to choose from. It comes as no surprise that Missoni, famous for their colorful patterns, has the the boldest and most colorful printed scarves by far.
If you prefer a more subtle color palette, Acne and Donni offer warm brown and grey tonal ones. For a classic blue and white nautical stripe, definitely check out this one by Rag & Bone. Kule also offers this foxed striped fur version that is super luxe.
Plaid is another cool (but warm at the same time) option and a great way to incorporate this seasons trend into your wardrobe. This yellow and white cashmere check printed scarf by Isabel Marant will definitely brighten up your day. Balenciaga also offers this hip plaid version in navy and green. Though not as colorful, I had to include it in my round up because the attached hood is way too cool.
Saint Laurent makes the chicest leopard and though a bit pricey, it makes for a great investment piece.
Last but not least is Acne’s Fair Isle printed scarf. I can totally imagine myself wrapped in this lovely piece while sipping some hot cider spiked with a little something by the fireplace.
