One of the first pieces I bought this season back in August was this Ann Demeulemeester cropped satin emerald blouse. This is one of my favorite purchases of the season, so much so, that I saved it for a special occasion, i.e. David’s birthday which we celebrated last week. Of course, his only comment was about the dramatic 80’s angular puffed shoulder. No matter, I love this jewel tone emerald blouse and it makes for the perfect holiday piece. The satin fabric gives it a luxe feel and the frayed edge cropped style ups the cool factor. I paired this with high waisted jeans but this can also be worn with even higher waisted jeans or highest waisted black trousers for a dressier look for those who dare not to bare.
Because of the extra long sleeves and the high neck line, I would add a little sparkle on the ring finger or with a pair of statement earrings.
No need to layer this beauty, as it speaks for itself.
Those looking for this look for less, I found two tops that are full of velvet gorgeousness.
The first one is a tie neck emerald blouse by L’Agence that is quite feminine and can be tucked into a pair of black or dark denim jeans. This Valencia & Vine high neck emerald blouse is a fashion steal and I am all about the princess shoulder.
For those who like to play with patterns, this Ganni high neck green and black tiger print satin blouse will have your admirers grrrrrrrowwling all night long.
I finished off this look with a dark grey velvet stiletto but that’s because I need to buy myself a black suede heel otherwise I would have opted for that. No matter because I think the grey worked well. Another option would be a pair of black ankle booties.
How would you style this emerald blouse?
