’Tis almost the season to celebrate and be merry which means lots of dinners and cocktail parties. Before I head out the door to any event, my one must have accessory is le clutch. Clutches are eye candy and can be an outlet for self expression. Come winter, I typically tend towards classic bags with a touch of luxe. This season there are so many options and many are statement pieces that add personality and complete an outfit – think lots of velvet, satin and sparkle of course.
Before I purchase a clutch, it must pass one test: They have to fit my phone, my lipgloss and my tampons. While my husband has agreed to hold my phone or lipgloss, I’m not so sure about my tampons.
I was excited to notice that many of the bags I admire, were priced between $200 and 1K, luxe for less if you will.
Below are some of my favorites.
I am obsessed with Hunting Season’s velvet clutches. I love the chic geometric shape and the rich variety of colors.

The Row hobo bag is another favorite of mine. I first saw fashion darling Taylor Tomasi Hill wearing these last fall during fashion week and it was love at first sight. I am equally fond of both the satin and velvet options .

Add a little sparkle and shine with Edie Parker’s festive clutches. Her gold and silver are classics and this green was one quite opulent.
