Until recently, I had this notion that face masks were a tedious and an unnecessary step in my ever growing skin care routine.
Fast forward to the present, and I am a ‘changed woman’ who is super hooked on facial treatment masks. They are easy to apply, hydrating, leave me with a dewy and brighter glow and lastly, they have a mess free application process.
I have recently sampled a few and here are my reviews…
- My favorite mask is by Patchology because it’s light, yet effective and not overly moisturized. Although many masks take up to 20 minutes to work, this mask requires only 5 minutes! As a side note, they are cost effective at $30 for 4 masks.
- I’ve heard many rave reviews about SK-II facial treatment masks. While this mask left me somewhat radiant and hydrated, I found it too heavily soaked with Pitera serum leaving a gooey residue on my face and it had a suggested longer leave on period.
- I am in absolute love with Klorane’s smoothing and relaxing eye patches. These do require a 20 minute leave on period but it is sooooo worth it. Upon removing these soothing patches the morning after a long night of shall we say sipping some wine… the area under my eyes looked plumper, smoother and the lines around my eyes seemed less apparent. A definite must have!
- Although I am not a fan of the rub on face masks, the Black Rose Cream Mask by Sisley was recommended to me by a woman who I met at luncheon that had absolutely radiant skin. She swore by this product that suggests a 2 or 3 day a week application. A little bummed when the mask came on clear and not the “theatrical green” I see in the movies:(. Still, the product delivered. My only issue with this one, is consistency, as I prefer the put on masks.
- Still waiting to try Earthen’s Instant Peel, which is not necessarily a mask but boasts similar results of healthy vibrant complexion and skin. Apparently it is Zittomer’s (my local pharmacy) best selling product.
Regardless of which you choose, your skin will only benefit from the hydration. Unless you’re looking to scare your loved ones, perhaps mask on in private. Glow on!
