Let me begin my saying, there is no shortage of options for lip balms. Come winter, as my lips begin to chap, I actively hunt for the lip balm du jour.
Last season I was obsessed with Hourglass Lip Treatment Oil. It was moisturizing and who could resist a 24 karat gold applicator? This season, I read about Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Magic Balm so I went to hunt it out. Clearly this one is the “bomb” because it is sold out everywhere! The sales woman suggested I try their lip scrub. I’m not sure if I was hungry or simply craving something sweet, but the cherry flavor had me at hello. The product delivered as my lips felt instantly smoother.
I also sampled La Mer’s “The Lip Balm”. This brand speaks for itself. Though pricier than the others, this minty flavored restorative properties work wonders.
A new Korean brand I was recently introduced to, Too Cool for School, offers a lip scrub duo lip balm. I love the two in one feature and prefer lip moisturizers that come in a tube like form. This is definitely an efficient option with the coolest packaging to boot.
La Prairie offers a unique lip and eye compact case. The lip treatment plumps and replenishes while the eye formula hydrates and illuminates. I have my “eyes” and lips on this one.
For the moment, I opted for Clinique’s Super Balm Lip treatment. It has deep hydrating properties, the price is cost effective and I like the mint green packaging.
