Although I am not a connoisseur of the arts, I enjoy and am truly moved by great pieces.
My absolute favorites are portraits by artist Alex Katz. The mood is pensive and the eyes draw me in. The colors are soothing and there is a certain vulnerability to their expression.
I am completely amused by Richard Prince’s jokes – they always put a smile on my face!
I would love to add a Tom Sachs Hello Kitty sculpture to my backyard for a bit of whimsy and one of Tracey Emin’s glowing neon signs for some kitchy love vibes.
I swoon over Isca Greenfield-Sanders soothing paintings of beach and summer – simply magnificent.
For the baddass in me, I’d add a hint of Jean-Michel Basquiat. I am also inspired by the the works of Tom Wesselmann. While reminiscent of Gauguin, I love Wesslemann’s vivid and bold use of colors.
I dream about owning some of these pieces, hell, I dream about owning all of them!

Like you I started my dream for the arts about 26 years ago. It then turned into my day job; it all started with prints by the great modern masters Picasso, Miro and Chagall then added to the popart world of Warhol and Lichtenstein. A decade later saw the resurrection of the street art movement and we added the likes of Banksy.
After spotting new talent about 7 years ago, starting with the then unknown artist Bambi now she is a world renounced superstar.
Now the love and ragerness to continue to find the next big pop artist and contemporary artist makes life so hopeful…. and on the way I pick up the old classics.
Moral of the story is ‘Never give us hope’
