I’m pretty sure that the first pair of shoes I bought this season were these Gianvito Rossi combat boots. The combat boot continues to be one of the main fashion staples this fall/winter, so I decided to style them 5 different ways for you guys.
To The Max
I went for a 90’s grunge with this R13 floral maxi dress by pairing it with a combat boot. I layered a cropped cashmere sweater by Reformation on top for an extra layer of cool (but really warmth). You can also layer this maxi dress with a moto jacket if you fancy. As the weather continues to dip, I will certainly add some black tights. The combat boot definitely toughens up this outfit but in an edgy sorta way.

Polished & Cool
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I went polished and cool with this next look.
I love a cropped tapered trouser so that you can actually see and appreciate the boot. I wore an old navy pinstripe pant with a cropped old grey knit sweater that is no longer available but… this Nili Lotan’s navy (they also come in black) tapered pant paired with a lightweight navy Nili Lotan turtleneck is a très chic updated alternative.

Denim Is Always A Good Idea
When in doubt, wear denim.
Denim has always been a classic symbol of style. For this blue jean baby look, I paired the combat boot with these high rise straight leg jeans by GRLFRND. On top, I wore an oldie but goodie, knit bralette by Rachel Comey from seasons past. It’s always a great feeling to know you’re getting wear out of your clothing season after season! I completed the look with this black Acne Double Breasted Blazer – a must-have wardrobe staple. If crop tops aren’t your thang, style it with a black or grey cashmere sweater or turtleneck.

Life is Short, Buy The Dress
Seriously… I was in the Zimmermann boutique about a month ago and I spotted (no pun intended) this fabulous leopard mini dress. At first, I was hesitant to buy a dress as it’s been a while since I put one on, but that’s what actually motivated me and I love the idea of pairing it with combat boots. I literally wore this ensemble the evening after I made the purchase, and man it felt so good to get dressed.

Put On Sweatpants, That Will Fix Everything
How I wish this were true, but seriously… Tis’ the season of sweats and these days, many of us just want to feel comfy yet put together.
I decided on a black monotone sweatpant/shirt look and paired it with the combat boot for this last look. I must say, another cool yet casual outfit idea that I know I’ll fall back on this winter. These black sweats are by Sundry which I purchased from The Westside boutique. You can try calling the boutique as I didn’t see the black ones I bought on their site.
The sweatshirt is from Beyond Yoga but also currently unavailable. Good news though… I linked to a couple of similar styles from brands that I love. Just add a beanie and puffer for extra toastiness et voila – you’re all set!
