This holiday season, our travel plans will be taking us to Australia just in time for high summer. Whether you’re planning a trip to Australia in the near future or just looking for a little inspiration for your next getaway, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite items on my Australia packing list.
It’s no coincidence that a good amount of my travel wardrobe will be with pieces by Australian designer Zimmermann. I always look to their collection for unique warm weather vacation must-haves. I’m a big fan of their florals and I know this is going to sound contradictory, but they have a bohemian yet elegant style about them that I covet.
While I will be taking along some of my favorites from seasons past, for this trip I added their Corsage Braided Mini Dress to my collection- perhaps I’ll save this for New Years Eve. Their bandana printed linen shirt will also make its way into my suitcase, perfect for a beach day paired with my Alexander Wang denim cut offs.
Rosie Assoulin is another favorite designer of mine and I’m all for her green and cream flocked jersey wide legged pants. I’m thinking this will work well with my Common Project platform sneaker and a white cropped tee.
Next on my Australia packing list is this sweet long sleeved peplum blouse by the Brock Collection. I plan to wear this tucked into high waisted denim jeans.
Isabel Marant’s quilted floral skirt will also be joining me on my travels. This could be perfect for some 6 o’clock cocktails. I’m thinking about pairing this with a floral top in a similar color scheme or just keeping it basic with a tucked in white button down.
No warm weather vacation would be complete without a piece or two from Columbian designer Johanna Ortiz – casual elegance for evening.
Now on to accessories. I am in love with all beach-inspired accessories by WALD Berlin. I first noticed their pieces on blogger Lucy Williams and was excited to see that Net-a-Porter had picked up this brand. This earring and this necklace are at the top of my list. Roxanne Assoulin’s colorful beaded bracelets always get packed and now that Alison Lou’s lucite hoop earrings are back in stock, I purchased the pink ones and I’m excited to wear them.
For sandals, it’s either tkees or Tabitha Simmons. A new favorite are the woven raffia slides by Carrie Forbes.
