This is a feel good classic summer look. I always love a classic white button down shirt – it’s cool, clean yet sexy, especially if you just accidentally leave an extra button or two undone, who me?
Think Audrey Hepburn and Lauren Hutton. This specific shirt is by Frank & Eileen and the lightweight fabric is perfect for summer. These A.P.C. pants were originally intended for my daughter but they didn’t work out and as usual, when that happens, mama gives them a try and they worked. The high waist detail on these chinos gives this classic an au courant look and the tapered leg makes the look a bit more fashionable.
In general, I’m all about ease and these days, if I’m comfortable, it shows. I paired this classic summer look with suede mules by Tod’s that were exclusive to Barney’s. I’m always attracted to a neutral shoe and the stacked heel makes for the ideal run around day shoe. I decided to accessorize with a subtle necklace party. This oldie but goodie pendant necklace by Jack Vartanian is made from lacquered wood. The delicate gold choker and name plate added some interest. I am carrying my favorite handbag of the season by Mark Cross x HVN. I am so thrilled I bought this bag when I did, because it has been sold out ever since. You can find similar styles here and here. Last but not least, I just purchased these black sunglasses by Oliver Peoples x The Row. It’s all about the collabs peeps. I have been on the lookout for a similar pair ever since I lost my favorites by Celine. Sunglasses and umbrellas have a way of disappearing, perhaps I need to copy my daughter and purchase a neck chain.
