Color crushing on the color blue this month. It could be because I am dreaming about summers by the sea and clear blue skies… either way, I am just so over the (blue) moon to share my round-up of blue fashion finds.
According to Google, blue is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, heaven, and intelligence.
Need I say more?
Let’s begin with these cropped floral print cotton flared pants by Derek Lam 10 Crosby. They’re super flattering and are perfect for a casual lunch out with the girls. I paired them with white kicks and a navy blazer from many seasons past. I found a similar style by Max Mara which has a slim yet relaxed fit. I’ve actually been searching for an updated navy blazer and this one is a keeper.
I just posted about this blue and white tie-dye floral print cropped top by Prada yesterday but as it falls into the blue category and I love it that much, I thought I’d make mention of it today too!
Speaking of tie-dye, you must check out these high-waisted, relaxed cotton shorts by Bassike. Each short has been splattered with blue ink so no two shorts are alike – so perfect for a day at the beach.
I’m all about the stripe button-down so naturally, I gravitated towards this cropped tie-front shirt by Etro and this cropped striped shirt by Hommegirls.
Last month, I did a round-up of my favorite denim of the moment but since then, I came across a few more that are worth mentioning such as these relaxed wide-leg jeans by Rag & Bone and Citizens of Humanity and… these cropped straight leg jeans with a ripped detail by A Golde.
For a more fashion-y denim look, these “piece angled” high-rise straight jeans also by A Golde are super unique.
Both these sweatsuits (see here and here) are awesome sauce. I happen to be the proud owner of this elevated Nili Lotan set in slate blue. Pair it with a navy blazer for more of a statement sweatsuit look which also makes for the perfect travel outfit.
If you are on the hunt for some lightweight summer PJs, look no further than these short sets by Eberjey and Skin. If you prefer to show less skin, here is a sweet long sleeve/trouser cotton Pima alternative.
For a bit of old fashion fun this summer, I highly recommend investing in this lucite Connect Four game by Sunny Life. We’ve been playing this game nightly and this stylish and sunny set is simply summer perfect.
Hope you enjoyed my true blue fashion finds. Stay tuned for next month’s color round-up!
