Shoes always seem to be my first purchase for fall and while I often choose ones that can be worn season after season, I’ve add a few edgier pairs into the mix this time around.
Ankle Boots Galore
Let’s begin with the ankle boot because I’ve been searching for the perfect brown leather heeled ankle boot for what seems like forever. I finally found this lux 4-inch heeled pair by Victoria Beckham. I love a square toe, they’re chicly understated and they can be dressed up with trousers or worn causally with jeans.
Another ankle boot that I own for a couple of years now and is worth mentioning are these Saint Laurent cowboy style inspired suede ankle boots with a block heel. While they have some height – technically, a 4 inch heel – I find them to be super comfortable. I’ve gotten so much mileage out of them and can’t wait to take them out again this season.
For those looking for a more affordable ankle boot option, I recently came across these Staud tan suede heels that are a perfect everyday shoe for running around the city or the burbs.
These Knee High Boots Were Made For Walking
There are so many fabulous knee boots to choose from. I’m particularly drawn to these Chloe brown leather boots with a round toe. They have a 2.5″ heel which is the perfect height for an everyday pair. I envision wearing these with jeans or midi dresses. If a high heel knee boot is on your to-buy list, this black leather pair with an almond toe by Veronica Beard is an effortless option. I also have my eyes on the brown suede version.
Pump It Up
Gabriela Hearst’s shoes never disappoint and this season is no exception. I’m literally head- over-heels for this stylish black leather t-strap design – an easy go-to with jeans and tapered cropped trousers. If you’re looking to add a pop of color to your shoe collection, these also come in a red suede, a color that is trending for fall. These color blocked Gucci Mary Jane heels with a square toe are definitely at the top of my list. Let’s just call this my Barbie moment of the season. I love the vintage style and the T-bar strap.
For a fall statement shoe, these Roger Vivier babies are winners. The checked fabric with patent leather detail, not to mention the Swarovski crystal-embellished buckles, make this high-fashion pair a home run.
The black pump or “court side shoe” as Vogue calls it, is also trending this season. For an elevated update on the pointy toe black pump, these Gianvito Rossi patent leather heels are an elegant option.
Flat Out Adorable
These Augusta black leather ballet flats are flat out adorable. They also come in ivory and at an approachable price point. Stuart Weitzman also makes a fun ballet style with faux pearl details – super cute!
Just For Kicks
I also included some sneaker options just for kicks I first spotted these green and blue suede New Balance Sneakers on Pencil & Paper Co’s site and they are a cult classic. For a designer pair, these Gucci tennis inspired canvas slip ons are a fab retro option.
Stay tuned for more fall fashion fabulousness!
