Come fall, it’s all about the statement pieces ie, coat, shoes and handbag. I have so many chic favorites to share with you from Net-a-Porter’s “New In” category.
Fall Blazers & Coats
At the top of my list is this Tibi navy wool blend blazer. I’m all about a nipped waist and the collarless neckline gives some “edge”. For fall, I plan to wear this solo – sans anything underneath and might leave a few buttons unbuttoned on the bottom part of the blazer for good measure. Once the weather gets chilly, I plan to pair this with a lightweight turtleneck.
Of course, this can also be worn with a tank or sweater. Denim on the bottom – always!
Another seasonal standout is this luxe camel wool and cashmere blend jacket by Chloe. The voluminous sleeves will give you the option to layer with a heavy weight sweater once the temps dip . This Parisian piece comes with a matching belt, too.
Looking for full on cozy? This Isabel Marant Étoile faux shearling jacket has all the winter feels. The oversized fit will keep you looking warm (and stylish) throughout season.
If you love a winter white moment as much as I do, this Chloe belted wool jacket is what dreams are made of. The cocoon sleeves with the cinched waist makes for a super chic look. For reference I wore a size 34 in both Chloe jackets.
It’s All About The Handbag…
I’m spotlighting 2 handbags, but frankly, there are 4 because I want both styles in multiple colors, ha!
I’ve been eyeing this leather shoulder bag by The Row for the past year. I love the clean aesthetic with a touch of vintage. This comes in black and navy but personally, I’m leaning towards the navy – always an evergreen neutral.
Another style on my radar is this elegant leather shoulder bag by Savette, offered in tan and black. I’m a big fan of the unique bucket shape; it’s modern and minimalist. Both bags – Savette and The Row – will work wonderfully for both day to night.
If The Shoe Fits…
I speak from experience when I tell you that I own an older version of these luxe over-the-knee rich chocolate suede boots by Gianvito Rossi and they are fabulous. The only difference between my pair and the new silhouette is the pointed toe which makes it more current in my opinion. I enjoy wearing these boots with midi length dresses and skirts for that 70s lewk. I also wear these boots with tapered/skinny jeans and an oversized blazer or sweater.
This brown leather ankle boot by Chloe is a classic addition to any fall wardrobe. It’s the perfect go to for erranding, lunching, and everything in between. These also come in a knee boot version. Both styles come in black leather, too.
One last shoe that isn’t in Net-a-Porter’s whats “New In” curation, but I still wanted to highlight because I love them that much, are these Gabriella Hearst Mary Jane black pumps. They’re definitely a shoe that can be the hero piece of your outfit and yet, are easy to style with a great pair of jeans and a blazer. As an FYI, the site recommends to take these one size larger. I found I only need to go up a 1/2 size.
