As I write this post at home in NYC, it is a balmy 65 degrees outside… in February… so, yes, spring fashion is clearly on my mind. Whether you’d like to get a head start on some transitional spring pieces, or you have a warm-weather vacation in your travel forecast, I’ve gone ahead and rounded up some of my favorite spring-summer pieces below. P.S. Spring is officially 4 weeks and 3 days away so hop to it!
I am a big fan of the trench coat. They’re a classic wardrobe staple that always stays relevant and when it comes to style, there is a certain effortlessness to them. This season, Acne Studios brick double-breasted cotton trench coat is on my radar. I love the warm tone!
This Toteme army green quilted padded shell jacket is also on my currently coveting list. It’s the perfect jacket to channel your inner Brit and also perfect for pick-up, drop-offs, and everything in between. The style is casual + cool and loose enough to layer over a chunky sweater.
If you’re looking for that in-between season dress that can be worn from March onward, I recommend checking out this Valentino wool-blend mini dress that comes in both black and red. I am obsessed with 60’s style and love a mini shift dress moment.
For a bit more leg coverage, a lot less shoulder coverage, and a whole lot of VA VA Voom, this Khaite black off-the-shoulder midi dress is super flattering and does wonders for one’s silhouette.
Another fab transitional piece is this Wales Bonner jacquard knit vest. This copper, ruby, rust, and emerald knit can be worn over a white shirt or lightweight turtleneck, and then once the temperature really warms up, it can be worn on its own.
This brown belt by Toteme is more of a wardrobe essential than a transitional accessory (it also comes in black by the way) but it’s a classic worth mentioning that transcends all seasons.

If you’re anything like me, you are probably fantasizing and/or dreaming about your next vacation. Here are some of my favorite pieces to pack for your future warm-weather travels or to help jump-start your summer wardrobe.
First up is this eggplant crochet cotton midi skirt by Wales Bonner that I currently own and can’t wait to wear. I plan on pairing this with a simple white cotton tee, and a low-heeled sandal. If you prefer a more elevated look, you can always pair this skirt with the matching crochet-knit tank. The bottom line is, nothing says summer like crochet and I’m here for it.
Ulla Johnson’s multicolored pleated striped cotton jacket is super cool. The sleeves are a bit oversized so you need a whole lotta attitude to wear it, but it’s one of my favorite prints and the striped colors are swoon-worthy. This print also comes in a shorts version that would work great with a white button-down or tank.
This banana palm printed silk pant by Aussie brand Matteau is pretty sweet. I can see myself wearing them poolside or out for lunch. They look comfortable + cool and I always appreciate a tropical style pattern. I’m also really into the matching short sleeve silk shirt – a definite need not want.
How fun is this shell embellished woven straw tote by Alanui? The perfect summer accessory! Cult Gaia’s fan-shaped clutch is quite unique and kitschy I might add. It comes in this off-white leather so it will pretty much work with most of your summer wardrobe.
And because I love a white dress moment, I had to include this Zimmerman linen midi dress with statement puff sleeves…simply beautiful and romantic.
