As a teenager and young adult, I always found Henri Bendel to be an exciting destination, offering anything a girl could dream of: a cutting edge assortment of make-up, their infamous brown and white striped cases, cutting edge jewelry and designer ready to wear. This all housed under one roof that seemed easy to conquer in a single visit.
I stopped visiting Bendel’s when they no longer carried ready to wear which was was always a draw for me. Walking up 5th Avenue the other day, I passed by Bendel’s and decided to stop in and revisit. As always, there was much excitement throughout the store; make-up events and jewelry designer trunk shows— there was no shortage of eye candy!
The tour de force of Bendel’s is without doubt their hair accessory department. Carefully edited with a sharp eye, the array was vast, trendy, colorful and spoke to all age groups.
I am happy I made the visit and I am excited to return with my teenage daughters in tow. A great mother daughter destination if you will.

Great idea! I will definitely venture with my girls as it is quite different from the other department stores. They will love it.
