Baby, it’s cold outside as in it’s time to bundle up with a warm winter coat.
Tis’ the season for holiday shopping, hot chocolate, chic suede boots, and high-impact winter coats.
A well-made coat goes a long way – not only will it keep you warm as temperatures drop but it can instantly transform an outfit.
I’ve rounded up my favorite winter coats, from classic belted and double-breasted staples to cozy shearlings and printed statement makers.
The Belted Wool Coat
The belted coat is très chic – a welcomed addition to any wardrobe. This effortless Acne Studios black belted wool midi coat can be paired with jeans or thrown over an LBD for a Saturday evening. The relaxed silhouette and loose sleeves make it the perfect layering coat.
I’m also coveting Nili Lotan’s grey herringbone wool wrap coat. This coat fits true to size and while it’s fitted through the shoulders the frame has a relaxed fit.
The Plaid Coat
Are you as mad for plaid as I am? This Michael Kors wool blend maxi double-breasted plaid coat has a cool yet classic sensibility. I plan to wear this with denim and combat boots during the day and black trousers and platform stilettos in the evening.
Another printed coat I’m eyeing is this ultra-feminine slim-fit Dolce & Gabbana double-breasted coat. I can totally envision myself headed off to an afternoon of tea & crumpets in this lady-like coat.
The Classic Double & Single Breasted Coat
Brown is the new black. Besides the fact that I love all things The Row, I am particularly drawn to their brown single-breasted wool and cashmere maxi coat. A luxe and versatile option that I’d style with black, navy, or grey – basically everything in my wardrobe.
Going green? Loewe’s single-breasted wool coat in a wintry forest shade is another fabulous style that will elevate your fall-winter wardrobe.
