September has arrived!!! And with that comes all things school and fall related. Reality bites.
Being a Jersey girl and spending blissfully relaxing summer days at the beach, it is always a challenge to make the transition back to city life and all that comes with it. Hint hint school, holidays, schedules, routines…you get where I’m going.
This year in particular, I’m having a more difficult time with reentry into the big apple. This has prompted me into some introspection which I am hoping will be helpful: focus on the positive.
No more supermarket shopping. I get all deliveries in Manhattan
I can’t wait to get to Staples…Relive my school supply fantasies
Crisp fall air
Reconnecting with my NYC friends
Giving my liver a rest due to lower alcohol consumption
The promise of culture and entertainment
No more carpooling=pick up and drop off at all hours of the night
Fall blow outs
To be perfectly honest, I hate being the homework hoverer but I do welcome having my children back on track.
No need to reapply sunscreen
Thinking about a possible winter vacation or overnight getaway
If these are just not doing it for you, you can take comfort in knowing that once fall comes we are one step closer to next summer!

Hi Fortunee, enjoy reading your back to reality schedule. It brings back old memories, which I miss! Was it Cost Cutter for school supplies? Xoxo
