Denim & dresses take up a majority of the real estate in my closet.
I know I know I’ve said this plenty of times but dresses are my go-to’s for day and night because they’re an instant outfit and… for someone like me who waits till the last minute to get dressed, they are a no-brainer!
Denim is another wardrobe staple that is also part of my daily and evening uniform. I can never get enough á la denim for days and I’m always looking for the next best pair. Speaking of the next best pair, I am beyond excited about these Re/Done 60’s style patchwork slim-leg jeans with a side slit raw-edged cuff. I’d like to think of this pair as denim with an attitude. MatchesFashion.com, the ever so highly curated London-based site, where I scored these jeans, suggests taking a size up if you are on the curvier side but the 25 worked better than the 26, just thought I throw that out there as a point of reference. I styled these jeans with a tank and blazer but they can easily be paired with a navy sweater, or an oversized unbuttoned denim shirt layered over a white tank.
Another pair of jeans that I’m currently coveting are these dark blue cropped straight jeans by Acne Studios. I love the wash on these, especially for winter and this shorter length gives me the opportunity to show off my ankles. What can I say? I like to show a little skin. Cropped jeans are also a great way to highlight your favorite ankle boots. Now I know this post is all about denim and dresses but since I brought up groovy boots, I must digress and tell you about these Gucci Black Horsebit-chain leather ankle boots that I’m literally head over heels for. They’re a classic but with an edge, making for a cool fall fashion accessory statement piece.
Now back to denim…For those who prefer a lighter wash, these distressed blue jeans by Re/Done are fab. They’re high-waisted with a straight-leg style and they look like a flattering fit plus the kind of shade I’d wear year-round.

On to dresses…
The moment I laid eyes on this padded shoulder mini lame dress by The Attico, I knew it would be love at first sight. The padded shoulders were a bit overwhelming for my petite frame but the good news is, they’re easily removable. This party dress is the kind of dress that makes you want to dance and have fun which is exactly what I did during this photoshoot. I literally busted out some old-school moves!
This Rodarte heart and rose black/red print silk midi dress are what romantic dreams are made of. Another flattering silhouette that I’d wear during the day with combat boots and then at night with stilettos – super chic!
This Brock Collection puff sleeve floral print silk dress is another winner and equally as romantic. I always love a high neckline and the blie silk hue is absolutely divine.
Last but not least is this mod Valentino mini leopard dress. Part ladylike, part playful, I am just swooning over this 60’s style which would take me to formal lunches and dinners and then some…
