I once read an article that spoke about personal libraries in one’s home and that even if one didn’t read all the books they showcased on their shelves, it added much character to the room and told a story about the person who lived there.
Ever since reading this article many moons ago, I slowly but surely amassed my own personal library which includes almost every single book I’ve ever read. My favorite genres are historical fiction, beach reads, and an occasional autobiography. Of course, there are the books I have yet to read, a bunch of family photo albums (pre-iPhone days), one too many coffee table books, and the occasional tchotchkes interspersed on each shelf. There is a certain sense of satisfaction and accomplishment in seeing my book collection displayed and as I from time to time take notice of my favorites, I am inspired to share my list with you all. This list does not include my summer beach read list but if you’d like me to create another blog post around this genre, please comment below. Please also drop me a note with your all-time favorite reads!
