These Boots Were Made For Walking

This fall season in particular there are many boot trends to choose from – cowboy, over the knee, slouchy, combat and the sock boot to name a few. Though I am a closet cowgirl and have an authentic pair from Tennessee that I bought a few years back, I am particularly drawn to the 80’s slouchy boot trend. I am not sure which one I will purchase, but for the moment I do have my eye on a red leather version by Adam Lippes . Red is a hot color for fall – particularly the Fendi over the knee leather boots that continue to dominate the editorial pages. I love these thigh high boots but on my petit frame, they can sometimes come pretty close to the crotch area which I’m not certain is the most becoming look. The slouchy boot has a relaxed and casual look yet they transition well from day to night. There are many heel options from sky high stilettos, cone heels, to flats. I prefer the thick cone heel which seems comfortable enough.
THE slouchy boot of the season are the Saint Laurent sparkly slouchy boots for the mere price of $10,000. Gianvito Rossi offers a white or black leather version – you can never go wrong with this classic luxury brand. Isabel Marant offers a killer version and those that are mad for plaid, Off White offers a tartan over the knee slouch.

How do you plan on styling your boots this fall? I’d love to hear!
