I recently went to Cabo San Lucas over Presidents’ Day Weekend (see post here) and thought I’d share some of my favorite vacation pieces that came along for the ride. These pieces will also have the chance to visit Florida on an upcoming trip.
Whether you plan on traveling or want to get a head start on your summer wardrobe, these vacation pieces are easy classics.
I never leave home without my Love Shack Fancy Midi white cotton dress. When I wear it to the beach, I pair it with a two-piece and leave it unbuttoned for a cover-up look. If I’m taking it to town, I button that shit up all the way to the tippy top. A new addition to my collection of vacation pieces is this Missoni long knit top. One of the perks of being petite, is that tunics can double as dresses. I always feel like I’m getting a two for one deal. These Chloe white shorts are worth the investment as they’re high waisted, not too tight around the leg and are flattering. I kept the look simple with a white button down which I left open for the most part and a neutral bikini underneath.
When it comes to swimwear, my go-to brands are Solid & Striped, Eres and Mara Hoffman. I can’t leave out Hunza G or Lisa Marie Fernandez as they are faves of mine too.
For evening, I kept it casual and breezy with flowy skirts and dresses. I particularly loved this floral mini crepe dress by Faithfull the Brand (got the seal of approval from my husband too!). I also had fun with this terra-cotta cotton gauze maxi skirt that I paired with a one-shouldered cotton top. Alternatively, this can be worn during the day as well with a bikini.
Though I didn’t bring these white jeans by AGolde on vacation, I would have if Net-a-Porter put them on their site before take off. I love this brand and I have these exact jeans in denim which have a mid-rise boyfriend style.
All the pieces I mentioned are interchangeable and can either be worn for day or night or both. They’re also perfect pieces when traveling carry on.
As for footwear, I kept things on the down low as in I was only in the mood to wear low heels which is atypical for me. I am obsessed with these sandals by Jacqeumus. You must check out the mismatched jeweled heel detail.
Another shoe that has my heart, yes I’m being dramatic… but I’m very passionate about my shoes are open toe clogs. I love this red pair by Rachel Comey but these luggage colored ones by FiveSeventyFive are also groovy.
For day, I can always count on my Tkees and these raffia sandals by Carrie Forbes.
Last but not least, I brought a few straw/neutral bags from past seasons that continue to please most outfits. I brought along a version of this one by Hunting Season. Also worth checking out is this wicker cross body option by Prada.
What are you must have vacation pieces this season?
