There is something so classic about the polo knit sweater -a bit of prep, polish, and a whole lot of cozy. Keep it casual & cool and pair with jeans, a leather belt and loafers or knee high boots. For an elevated look, you can pair the polo knit with plaid trousers à la the above.
A great layering essential, consider adding a silk scarf around your neck or layer over a lightweight turtleneck or button-down shirt or tee. Lastly, why not throw a blazer over your polo for some added warmth (and a dash a chic).
The Long Sleeve Polo
This season, I added this luxe Khaite tan cashmere knit with a polo collar to my sweater collection (size xs). I’m all about the relaxed fit; this neutral wardrobe staple will be a go-to for fall/winter.
Reformation’s cashmere sweaters are also a great option and at a friendlier price point. Their version of the polo knit comes in multiple colors like tan, black and this playful stripe.
Be pretty in pink this season with this pink cashmere polo style sweater by Lou Lou Studio. During the winter, I love to pair pink with burgundy, navy, and other pink tonal pieces. You can also style the shade with other pastels as seen on the Prada runway for FW23.
This burnt orange, smart polo style sweater by Joseph has me thinking of pumpkin spiced lattes. I’m so ready for fall! PS. This winner is also available in navy.
The Short Sleeve Polo
A few short sleeve polos that are equally chic, include this Nili Lotan knit cashmere polo offered in grey and black, and this Dries Van Noten’s merino wool version, also available in burgundy and black.
I accidentally included this Dries Van Noten black short sleeved sweater sans polo to the mix but decided to leave it in because…it’s that good! The mid-length sleeve length really makes for a timeless knit.
The Printed Pant
A few favorite printed pants this season include this Tibi check print wide leg pants. You can style these with loafers, pumps or a platform boot like I did. The fabric is super soft and I found the relaxed fit to be flattering. I’m including another link for the pants here, as the original link I shared is almost sold out. For reference, I took these pants in a size 0.
Another standout are these houndstooth stretch crop pants by Rosetta Getty. I love the flare silhouette and own a couple of pairs from this brand. I typically style these pants with an oversized sweater, or a blazer and platform brogues or combat boots.
For an evening option, these jacquard wide leg trousers by Max Mara are super glamorous. You can style it with an ivory silk blouse for an elegant look or a cropped black knit top if the attire calls for fun and festive.
