I’ve been trending towards lighter reads for a nice way to relax.
Why is it that every book on the New York Times Best Seller list involves murder, crime, death, and whatever other morbid theme one can think of?
Even most of the movies offer no escape, I mean… Paddington Bear and Big Hero 6 were my recent go to movies.
Here are some of the titles on the recent NYT list.
Gone Girl
The Burning Room
Hope to Die
Dark Places
The Assassination Option
These titles tend to drag me down instead of lift me up.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the list read like this?
Girl Returns
The Flourishing Room
Hope to Live
Light Places
The President Returns
I’ve always been a sucker for happy endings.
If anyone can recommend an enjoyable read, please share!
