Many downtown stores, seem to be working their way uptown to meet the needs of the Upper East Side fashionista. I am always looking for new shops to explore and admire, and I especially appreciate the boutiques that are housed in town houses on side streets. These hidden gems bring charm to the neighborhood. Here are some that I am most excited for.
Moda Operandi (24 East 64th Street)
The ever growing e-commerce fashion site has opened up a ‘by appointment only’ boutique on East 64th Street for those who prefer the touch/feel experience.
Le Labo (22 East 65th Street)
A perfumery that custom blends and personalizes each label, has also opened up shop one block north on East 65th Street. I currently have four of their oil based scents. They are light and the fragrances hit just the right note.
The Row (17 East 71st Street)
A great destination for timeless, classic and luxury ready to wear and accessories – The Row recently opened it’s first boutique in NYC on East 71st Street.
Moncler (650 Madison Avenue)
Home to the all-around perfect puffer.
Mr and Mrs Italy (779 Madison Avenue)
Just in time for winter, this boutique offers colorful fur trimmed parkas… definitely the coat of the moment.
Rag & Bone (11 East 68th Street)
A must go to destination for denim and classic pieces for your everyday wardrobe. Rag & Bone is located on East 68th Street between Madison and 5th Avenue.
Alison Lou (20 East 69th Street)
I’m so excited about this opening! This fine jewelry line is quirky, fun and emoji inspired.
Elie Saab (860 Madison Avenue)
This elegant fashion designer is due to open his door on Madison Avenue with statement gowns for the glamorous and gorgeous. Perfect timing for the holiday season!
