So far, things are pretty casual down at the Jersey Shore. While restaurants have opened up, it seems like at home barbeques and pizza parties are trending. I feel like this is how we will be vibing this summer – intimate, informal gatherings.
When it comes to getting dressed for these types of outings, jumpsuits and rompers are always an easy go-to. I also find them to be fashionable, flattering, and have an effortless way about them. Best of all, jumpsuits and rompers are forgiving. I’ve definitely developed a bit of a corona belly over the past few months, so these one-piece wonders have definitely been a savior. (Working on the abs though!)
There are many ways to wear a jumpsuit or romper. They can be dressed down during the day with a flat sandal or sneaker and then dressed up at night with a heel.
For the day, I sometimes will leave the buttons unbuttoned worn with a bikini, bralette or bandeau underneath.
I’m a big fan of the green/khaki jumpsuits. I’m loving Alex Mill’s cropped cotton belt jumpsuit which happens to also come in sand, vintage khaki, and city pink. The fit looks fabulous with a bit of attitude if you will. I also have my eye on this hunter green jumpsuit by RTA. I love the front zipper action and the elastic cuff and hems.
For a super casual jumpsuit that feels like a second skin, check out L.A. bases James Perse’s version.

What’s better than linens, pale pinks, and summer whites? Reformation makes these 2 lightweight flattering versions (see here and here) with an open back peek a boo detail.
I’m also swooning over this utility jumpsuit by Joe’s Jeans. The fabric is super soft and also lightweight.
Overalls are also another cool and casual way to go. Again, you can wear them with a bathing suit, bodysuit, or tank underneath. This We Wore What and white Levi’s option is worth checking out.

Denim is always a classic option when it comes to jumpsuits and they transition well from one season to the next as you can always layer a turtleneck underneath. I know, I know, who wants to even hear the t-word in July? I’m just trying to present options to y’all.
Jumping for joy over this Citizens of Humanity version which comes in blue and black denim. For a relaxed short sleeve denim version, Free People makes this cute style.

For those who prefer an elevated designer jumpsuit, I included these 3 options by Givenchy, Stella McCartney (on sale), and Isabel Marant (also on sale) which are all winners and super chic.

Last but not least is the romper. I am wearing this white long-sleeved romper by Xirena, one of my favorite casual brands. This piece offers a pulled-together look in an easy way. For print lovers like myself, nothing says summer like this adorable floral romper by Staud. I recently added this multicolor gingham printed romper by Solid & Striped to my collection which has a preppy feel to it. Of course, no wardrobe is ever complete without some kind of palm tree print. This linen short sleeve style by Zimmermann will have you doing the hula in no time.
