I’m pretty sure summer sandals are not the first thing on everyone’s minds at the moment, but here are a few hopeful truths:
The sun will soon shine brighter than ever and we will be excited to step out in new heights. When that time does arrive, we will want to take that step in the perfect summer sandals.
I am mindful, that at this moment in time, most of us are more conscious than ever of our spending habits. I myself had to reign it in big time, but I know when summer does arrive, and hopefully, this crisis will pass, we will certainly want a new pair or two of summer sandals.
Whether this summer heel round-up below serves as a fashion distraction, a reference guide for when you are ready and able to shop, or if you want to add a few shoes to your wish list, I hope you can all take in the pleasure in the beauty of a well-made shoe. As an added bonus, Net a Porter is currently offering a 15% discount off selected new season collections which includes many of the shoes I have highlighted below. Think Porte & Paire, Cult Gaia, Jacquemus, and Proenza Schouler to name a few.
I invested in a few shoes this season and these Bottega Veneta leather strappy square-toed sandals are one of them. I had been wanting to get in on the square toe trend for a while now, so when I came across these sexy stilettos on the Net a Porter site, it was the perfect opportunity to get in on it.
I have a crazy obsession with the Porte & Paire chain embellished leather slingback sandals. The chain is so delicate and lays so elegantly on the foot. These sandals are so well priced making them a definite summer must-have. I personally prefer the brown tone but you really can’t go wrong with either color.

More than anything, I am a sucker for neutral sandals. I’ve probably mentioned this in more posts than I care to count, but neutral shoes go with everything in your wardrobe so you’re more likely to get a bang for your buck with them. In addition, nude sandals tend to elongate the leg as they blend into your skin coloring.
The first neutral shoe I’m head over heels for are these classically French 3-inch babies by Gabriella Hearst. They have a thick heel and are comfortable enough to get some mileage out of them
These Bottega Venetta leather mules make my heart skip a beat. Yes, I swoon that much. I can always use a low heel, love the square toe and there is something 70’s about the design which I always gravitate towards. Guys, I’m thinking big with this pair – beach, town, lunch, and dinner.

Be there or be square with these squared toed punchy red strappy sandals by Zimmermann and Proenza Schouler. Though I do favor a neutral, I also like to add in a vibrant pop of color for good measure. Rather be mellow in yellow than paint the city red? Loving this knotty sandal in a warm marigold hue.

Last but not least, for those who simply can’t see past the sneaker at this point in time, here are my tried and true all-time favorite kicks.
