People associate the color white with the hot days of summer. There has always been the lingering question, “Until when can I wear white?”
Fashion once dictated that white was acceptable until Labor Day, then slowly inched its way into winter. How happy am I!
Nothing reads as elegant luxe as an all white ensemble especially on a snowy evening. Aristocrats and Europeans come to mind…and I wouldn’t mind looking like them either.
I have slowly amassed a carefully edited winter white wardrobe that include my favorite turtleneck by Majestic, and jeans from J Brand.
Below is some inspiration and some tips from me on how to wear your winter whities:)
- Think varying shades of white i.e., creams, beiges and vanillas.
- Mixing and matching textures will elevate the look.
- Can you wear head to toe white? Absolutely and my favorite way to go!
- For footwear you can stay neutral with a white snow boot, white heel or a tan suede shoe. I also love brown suede or burgundy boots to warm up the look.
- Add some black trim or footwear for contrast.
- On a milder day or if you prefer to go casual – you can choose any flat or sneaker.
- For an over the top look – all out glamour, think fur, shearling or even faux.
- A wine shade lipstick can add some color for those looking for a pop of something.
