Raffia, wicker and rattan materials are music to my ears, especially when it comes to beach bags. These neutral summer accessories work with almost every outfit.
This season, Zimmerman’s drawstring raffia pouch with a beaded chain strap is at the top of my wish list. It also has a top handle that works wonderfully as a day to night summer bag.
Additionally, I’m coveting this Brunello Cucinelli small raffia crossbody bag that also doubles as a clutch. I recently saw boho beauty, Pamela Tick, share this on her Instagram. It’s fabulous!
If you’re specifically on the lookout for a summer clutch, this Pamela Munson egg shaped style with embossed leather finishing is a timeless and elegant option.
Summer Bags:
I’m particularly fond of Loewe’s newest version of their woven bag which comes with a leather shoulder strap. This classic beach bag comes with a drawstring closure and is the perfect go-to for beach to-town dressing and everything in between.
Another favorite is this Pamela Munson woven beach bag/tote with a darling grosgrain ribbon knot handle. For those who prefer canvas, it’s definitely worth checking out Kule’s whimsical canvas totes (think strawberry and smiley face graphics) which come in various sizes. Double your pleasure by using this as your travel bag and then for the beach on your travels.
Beach Bags:
There are so many fun and flirty sandals to choose from this season from woven raffia ruffle slides and palm printed flatforms to gemstone embellished sandals and luxe leather flip flops.
The newest sandals on the scene are these Gianvito Rossi dark brown leather slides with an ankle strap and knotted detail – très chic!
Though I tend to share a lot of neutral sandals, it’s always fun to add a pop of color to my sandal collection. These green, blue and white zig zag sandals by Ancient Greek Sandals are so playful for summer. I think I’ll be adding these to my cart! As an FYI, they also come in solid black, off white, gold, and a neutral tone.
I’m a sucker for clogs (and stripes) so these Eres x Scholl’s blue & white striped clogs are a dream come true and perfect for summer strolls on the Amalfi Coast (or the Jersey Shore)!
Sandals:
If you’re looking for a sandal with some height, check out these Chloe braided platform sandals. A little groovy and and a whole lot of luxe, these woven sandals can be worn day or night.
Another sandal I’ve worn quitw a bit recently, are these Bottega Veneta raffia platforms. Pair them with anything – wide leg pants, midi dresses and skirts. They definitely take me to new heights with a 5 inch heel though I don’t feel it bc of the 2 inch platform.
Low & mid heeled sandals:
Lastly, I wanted to highlight 2 summer straw hats that I wear on rotation and receive many DM’s about. The first is this natural straw safari hat by Jenni Kayne. I have my daughter Sonia to thank as I saw her wearing this first and then followed suit. The second hat I’ve been wearing quite often is this straw style by Lack of Color which I first spotted in Vogue magazine and then on Amanda Jones Vaughan who I love to follow on Instagram. Both offer optimal coverage and have chin straps which come in handy, especially when it’s windy out as it prevents my hats from flying away!
Accessories:
Happy first week of summer and stay tuned for more sunny style coming your way!
