There are various trends happening this spring season from baggy jeans and ballet core to sequins and sheer everything. While I always like to be in-the-know, ultimately, I opt for looks that inspire comfort and confidence. That being said, here are the 3 spring trends that I’m most excited about and that resonate most with my aesthetic:
Flower Power
Floral prints are a forever fashion favorite – feminine and romantic and simply sweet.
While I was on a recent vacation, I picked up these designer floral print wide-leg jeans by Forte Forte (side note: designer denim is trending but more on that later). I paired these with a crochet tank and tan leather sandals. An equally cute look is to style these jeans with a denim button-down shirt for casual spring days in the city.
Another favorite is this Cara Cara floral quilted skirt – a fun and flirty spring option. I styled this flattering a-line mini with green Gucci leather slingbacks from last season and an orange and white striped button-down tied at the waist (see a similar version here). If you’re a fan of this print, definitely check out the matching reversible quilted floral print jacket.
I swoon over all floral prints by Agua By Agua Bendita. This season these 3 pieces from the collection are either on my radar (or in my closet)!
- This romantic floral sarong is the perfect beach cover-up – LOVE! I took this sarong in an XS and will be packing this on my next vacay.
- Another favorite from this Columbian brand is this floral print mini dress with cutout details, a drawstring waist, and lace trim.
- These floral-printed wide-leg linen trousers were one of my first purchases for the season. They have a relaxed fit and make for an effortless summertime look.
Designer Denim
Designer denim is another major spring trend headlining this season – think denim cargo pants, wide-leg denim jeans, and denim maxi skirts.
Magda Butrym’s wide-leg denim jeans are at the top of my list. I invested in a pair of her jeans a few seasons back in a similar style and they remain a wardrobe staple. They are a relaxed fit – definitely recommend leaving the hem on the baggier side (yet, another spring fashion trend).
Maison Margiela’s high-rise straight-leg jeans with a cut-out detail remain a cult favorite. These elevated white jeans have the perfect amount of edginess and a whole lot of cool.
Le Cargo Pant
If you’ve been following along on the blog this season, you’ll know I can’t get enough of the cargo trend. I’m totally obsessed with these Isabel Marant Etoile beige cargo denim jeans. The fit is fabulous and a perfect go-to spring style. Toteme’s cream cotton twill cargo pant is another chic and stylish option. See how I styled these here. If you’re looking for a dressier cargo pant, The Frankie Shop makes a smart tailored wide-leg pair. Simply add a pair of stilettos, a white ribbed tank, and a blazer and you’re good to go!
